Abiraterone: New Drug for Treatment of Prostate Cancer?

British researchers are in clinical trials of the new anti-testosterone drug called abiraterone, which may help treat prostate cancer. This is a similar mechanism to hormonal treatment, reducing male hormone which acts as a “fuel” for prostate cancer. Trials so far have shown tumor shrinkage in 80% of patients.
